Jeff Martin is a local potter who lives in Boone, NC.  He specializes in the sgraffito method of decoration.  First he throws the forms on the wheel.  After letting them dry a little bit past leather hard, he paints a black under glaze on the white stoneware.  The under glaze is then carved and the white stoneware from underneath begins to appear.  Each piece is truly unique, local and completely handmade.  His work is collected and sought out for its unique and one-of-a-kind quality.  All pieces are food safe.  Custom orders available.  Please call or email for custom orders.
